A short and sweet Australian visual novel, with a silent protagonist and three cute boys you can spend a few days getting to know. Though there are few choices to be made, your personality and appearance will influence events in the game, and there's a surprise ending that should add a fun twist to the otome game formula. There's a hint in the title!

GENRE: Visual Novel, Otome Game, Modern Day, Fluff, Romance(?), Surprise Ending

An off-screen, unnamed silent protagonist of customisable gender (he/she/they, no in-game effect except pronoun usage). Two traits picked at the beginning of the game, Looks (tough/pretty/cute) and Nature (energetic/loving/clever) help determine the events of each playthrough.

Image of cute boy character, default name 'Kirby'

A cute, upbeat but shy boy in his last year of high school. He writes digital music he shares online, and would like composing and/or producing music to be his career. Though friendly, he has a lot of fears, and struggles hard with social anxiety. A chronically white kid.

Image of sensible-looking boy character, default name 'Micah'

A responsible, mature young man studying medicine at university and working part-time at his uncle's pharmacy. His family, who emigrated before he was born, are very close-knit and have (perhaps unreasonably) high expectations of him. Being deliberately serious and well-behaved, he has some trouble being emotionally honest.

image of grouchy-looking boy character, default name Ash

Standoffish, aloof, and constantly using an apathetic attitude to cover his emotional insecurity. Melancholy and private, Ash has some survivor's guilt over the accidental death of the last friend he got close to, and tends to keep others at arms' length. He seems to be involved with some dangerous people.

(I wrote some words backwards)

The first ending I was surprised to see the CG, I mean we were a oggod ! But then my head started thinking. Tundere dude was saved by.. us, the Dork was kinda treating us as a namuh, and the greeny was the only one what I thought who treated us like a oggod. But do people really do blush when seeing a oggod? Also can someone explain how the tittle relates to the plot twist?

Check out the initials of the title ^^

Omg... i was like "WTF i am a dog omg".. Its broke my heart man.. ah damn it... To creator of this game: You are so creative.. I mean it.. Please make another game .. I am waiting...

Was the twist the fact that the game crashed at the end? xD

(I think that was just me, lol)

nah it was me too! XD

Oof, that's bad news >.<; Did either of you get an informative error message from the game? Or could you tell me which paths you were on and where the crash happened? Thanks!

(1 edit) (-2)

wait ..... so in the game im a dog? wth! if it was a girl then i would love it but... i know ppl well hate me for this but... im scared of dogs... .-. plz respect me openion and dont commnet about it

I love the plot twist at the end! you make it sound so deep, and in the end, You just change it all around! I really liked the game!

This was fun! Only took me like 15 minutes tops to play through, Short and Sweet!

This game broke me. It blew my mind. It was so surprising. The twist got me especially well for a few reasons. When I go out to download dating sims, I look for them and then download like twenty at once. Then usually I leave most of them (if not all of them) for weeks. When I finally come back, I remember nothing about any of these games, except for a few certain ones.

So I opened this expecting a normal dating sim. I WAS VERY WRONG. The ending was so shell-shocking, so "WOAH", I literally closed the game and had to get up from my computer. So props for having broken me. ;P

I'm so glad it had an impact! XD I was never sure when I was working on it. I made myself get pretty weepy with the endings, but I'm so sentimental about the particular subject matter, I had no idea how it would land for other people. It's deeply rewarding when people tell me things like this, so, thank you :) I hope you also had fun!

I already had suspicioun from the dialog in Micah's route, but d*mn the cute plot twist and its obvious indication from the title itself xD

I love this! It is so cute and fun!I made a youtube video of my playthrough of it. =~)

 Here is the link:

i cried at every ending. how dare you!(i really loved this so much!) you have a fan in me.

I couldn't thank you enough for creating this game. It was so sweet and stirring it made me cry at some point.

I was so surprised at the end! I think I could have been able to guess the catch if I'd started with Ash's route, but I didn't expect that on Kirby's, who was the first.

I loved every little bit of it, and I feel like replaying it just for the sake of it. I think Ash's route was my favorite, but honestly, they were all great!

AMAZIN lmao i love how the dog changes depending on your character

Just finished the game,i enjoyed Ash's route the most.I love the graphics.Did you draw the characters and the backgrounds yourself?:D

Thank you! I did draw all the character art, but the backgrounds are mostly made from stock photographs that I filtered or and/or touched up. Most are real places in Australia, though I cheated by including both Melbourne and Brisbane in the one area ;p The exception is Ash's ending scene, where you can sort of tell that I drew the background myself ^_^;

I can't believe this game actually managed to make me feel so much haha. I'm sending this to my friends to see if they pick up on clues for the ending! Thank you for the amazing story.

Thanks so much for the comment. I'm really glad you were touched by it! I had some of my best friends in mind when I was writing it <:)

So the title was a clue.

You clever little --

Hhehehe XD In fact, the very first working title was "Doofy Otome Game" ;p
